Who is R360 Canada?
R360 Canada, an affiliate of Waste Connections, offers a variety of services to clients in the energy, environmental and industrial sectors. These services are delivered via our network of facilities, along with our specialized equipment and assets. We are equipped to process, recover, recycle and dispose of waste and other materials safely and cost-effectively for our customers.

We constantly monitor and evaluate new technologies and programs that can enhance our commitment to the environment. Within our industry, there is enormous effort made toward alternative technologies to reduce landfill disposal, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and harness bio-fuels.
An Expert Team
Waste Connections has been providing waste services for over 26 years and has over 12 years of experience in the oilfield industry with our R360 Environmental Solutions U.S. team. With highly skilled team members at our new R360 Canada office based out of Calgary, Alberta, we look forward to bringing newfound partnerships and services to meet your oilfield waste needs.
Safety training
All employees participate in regularly scheduled safety training courses throughout the year.Certification training
We train and certify all mobile equipment operators. This training is conducted by a third-party provider.

R360 Environmental Solutions Canada Management
Dave Engel
Dave was appointed President of R360 Canada upon its founding in January 2024. With over 25 years of direct oilfield waste industry experience stretching back to the mid-1990s, he is one of the most experienced leaders active in the industry.
Prior to R360 Canada, Dave held various senior leadership roles at Secure Energy from its founding in 2007 until late 2023. Previous industry experience included Tervita (previously CCS), Newalta, and Newpark. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary.
Patrick Linton
Patrick has been the Director of Technical Services at R360 Canada since February 2024. With over 19 years of experience in operations, engineering, and construction, he has dedicated his career to the effective development and execution of capital and operations strategy.
Prior to joining R360 Canada, Patrick held various engineering leadership roles in Canada and the United States for Secure Energy and Tervita before their amalgamation. His previous experience includes roles in land development, focusing on large-scale earthworks and utility construction. Patrick is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, along with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Calgary.
Harley Read
Harley joined R360 in February 2024 as Director of Sales and is based in Calgary, Alberta. Throughout his career in the waste management industry, Harley has led sales and operations teams, providing hazardous waste services for the oilfield and industrial sectors.
Before joining R360, Harley held various senior roles with SECURE Energy, Clean Harbors, and Newalta. He brings over 25 years of waste management experience, working with corporate and field-level customers across the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and the US oilfield regions of Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania. Harley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary.
Brad Vollmin
Brad joined R360Canada in February 2024 as Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Regulatory. With over 27 years experience in the Oilfield Waste Management Industry.
Prior to joining the R360 Canada team, Brad dedicated 27 years to Newalta, Tervita and most recently Secure Energy Services. Over these years Brad held several roles within Operations as well as Health and Safety. Brad has held his CRSP designation since 2008.
Darah Papadopoulos
Darah was appointed Division Controller for R360 Canada at the time of the acquisition by Waste Connections of Canada. Ms. Papadopoulos previously held the role of Division Controller for geographies covering both Western Canada and the Prairies Canada for 8 years, with a total of 11 years in the waste industry. During this time, she onboarded 2 large acquisitions and ensured financial integrity for the new Districts. She is experienced in creating and maintaining a substantial internal control environment and in navigating system conversions and new IT landscapes. She enjoys collaborating across departments and engaging her team to elevate their talent. Ms. Papadopoulos also benefits from 3 years of Oil & Gas experience as a Corporate Controller and originally articled with Grant Thornton. She is a CPA, CA, and holds a BComm from the University of Alberta.
Rene Besler
Rene joined R360 Canada as District Manager of the Southeast Region in February 2024, bringing with him 24 years of extensive operational and leadership experience in the oilfield waste management industry.
Prior to joining R360 Canada, Rene spent 16 years with Secure Energy Services in various business development, sales, and operational leadership roles. Earlier industry experience includes operations with CCS Energy Services and Peyto Exploration & Development.
Dave Rollings
In February 2024,Dave assumed the role of District Manager for the Northwest Region at R360Canada, contributing 29 years of operational and leadership expertise in theoilfield waste management sector.
Prior to becoming part of the R360 Canada team, Dave dedicated 26 years to Tervita /Canadian Crude Separators and the past 3 years to Secure Energy Services. Over these years Dave supported roles within business development, sales, and operational leadership.
